On December 13, 2004 DUCHTING PUMPEN got a very interesting order from VATTENFALL EUROPE AG. In the Power Plant Jänschwalder (in the near of Cottbus) a Quencher and an Absorber system is in operation. At that time Recycle Pumps in a high-quality DUPLEX Stainless Steel have been installed in the Quencher system. Due to the very corrosive liquid these pumps could not reach an acceptable life time for VATTENFALL.

DUCHTING PUMPEN will deliver within October 2005 further 6 pieces “bespoke” pumps in the MCC (Mineral Cast Compound) technology. 1999/2000 a test pump was already put into operation which was not designed exactly for the given operating conditions, but this pump reached and is still reaching good results. With the extreme corrosion and abrasion resistant SICcast® material long life times could be expected. This is the opinion of the utility as well.
