| Mechanical seal DÜTEC® Single-acting Mechanical Seal made of SiC-mineral Cast This single-acting, product-lubricated mechanical seal has exclusively been developed by DUCHTING PUMPEN for being used in our ROWA and ROWA-MC series. 
Even under the most difficult operating conditions, DÜTEC®
mechanical seals excel by their long operating times. It is one of
their most important characteristics that the contact pressure springs
of DÜTEC®-mechanical seals are located outside the medium-wetted
chamber. Blocked contact pressure springs caused by sediments in the
pumping chamber, which have so far frequently led to breakdowns (leakage)
of mechanical seals, can thus be avoided. The DÜTEC®-single-acting mechanical seal is used for handling media that are particularly heavily contaminated with chemicals and/or abrasive. How it works: When the pump lies idle, the seal's stationary ring and the rotating ring are pressed together by means of the spring resistance; during operation, this pressure is further strengthened as a result of the arising hydraulic pressure. The stationary ring is steadily positioned in the housing lid. The rotating ring, located in the impeller, rotates with the shaft. Vents have been provided in the impeller close to the mechanical seal, in order to ensure the exchange of liquid during operation. |
