Quality Assurance

Our Quality Policy To ensure that our products are of a top-quality is one of our most important goals at DUCHTING PUMPEN. Our quality assurance is thus an integral part in all of our work areas, covering among others our sales-, design-, purchase-, production- and customer service departments. For us at DUCHTING PUMPEN, ensuring top quality does not only imply that our products meet current market requirements and legal regulations, but moreover that they fulfill the individual requests and specifications of our customers. By continuously enhancing our existing quality assurance activities to become a QS-system and by documenting this process, we implement these high demands. The supervision of our quality assurance measures lies in the hands of the head of this department, who directly reports to the management.

Quality Assurance on our own Test Rig In order to ensure a continuously high quality of our pumps, it is necessary to subject the machines to a comprehensive test run before they are delivered to our customers. In most cases, this involves documents confirming the pump's performance and an acceptable test (according to national and international standards, e.g. ISO 9906) performed in the presence of the customer. For this purpose, we first worked on a complex concept for our own test rig at DUCHTING PUMPEN. Following our experience and a comprehensive assessment of current standards and proposals for the future, our test rig was completely revised in late 1990 and has been improved and upgraded ever since.

The pipeline system of the test rig has been designed for a maximum flow rate of 10,000m³/h and a delivery pressure of 160 bar. A variety of calibrated three-phase motors of up to 2,000 kW output with different speeds of between 600 - 3,000 1/min are available to drive the centrifugal pumps. A wide range of turbo-machines can be tested for all acceptance and test series parameters. Our test rig can, of course, also be made available to other companies for the above-mentioned tests.
ISO 9001 The quality assurance at DUCHTING PUMPEN Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co KG meets international standards: The company was first certified ISO-9001 on February 3, 1995, following a quality assessment by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. In February 2004, this certificate was extended until the end of 2007, which can be seen as a sound proof for the continuously high quality with respect to the "development of single- and multi-stage centrifugal pumps made of metallic and non metallic materials".
