Field
of Application: Flue Gas Desulphurization |
| |
Since
the beginning of flue gas desulphurisation in Germany in 1982, DUCHTING PUMPEN has been engaged in the design and construction of circulation-
and suspension pumps. DUCHTING PUMPEN has made a name for itself
in this area with many deliveries throughout the world. Being market
leader, DUCHTING PUMPEN can supply and build any sizes required
and can offer tailor-made solutions to its customers. In addition,
it is possible for us to build pumps in all kinds of duplex stainless
steel grades and in a SICcast® material whose life exceeds all
expectations. Components such as wear plate and impeller or even the
complete hydraulic section can be made of this ceramic material, which
can only be obtained from DUCHTING PUMPEN. Because of its unlimited
corrosion resistance and its extremely high wear resistance, life-cycle
costs - for example those of the ROWA-MC/MCC series - are reduced
to an absolute minimum. In the meantime (i.e. in 2003), we have been
able to design pumps of the ROWA-MC/MCC series – and also single
impellers and wear plates – with operating lives of more than
70,000 hours.
Thanks to its external springing, the DÜTEC® single acting
mechanical seal that was especially developed at DUCHTING PUMPEN
for the transportation of solids, will ensure that there will not
be any leaks whatsoever, regardless of the operating conditions.
For flue gas purification in waste-fuelled power stations, there are
higher requirements with respect to the material's resistance to corrosion
as well as to wear. Duplex stainless steels are usually not adequate
and normal industrial plastics are subject to increased abrasive wear.
SICcast®, however, can fully meet these requirements: Here, too,
DUCHTING PUMPEN can offer a large range of pump sizes and has
a comprehensive list of references.
By using the DÜTEC® single acting mechanical seal, the entire
pumping chamber is kept free of metal.
